SUMMARY:
Export company looking for a technical person with experience working with refrigerated containers, install, test, and monitor reefer containers used to export high valuable perishable products

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12
At least 2-3 years’ experience with reefer monitoring
Minimum 1 year experience with repair/service of reefer containers
Knowledge with experience with refrigeration systems, electrical wiring, and cooling unit troubleshooting
Own reliable transport
Ability to work outdoors and after hours as and when required

Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare refrigerated containers with specialized control systems
Coordinate container preparation with depots and logistics providers
Inspect, install devices, perform leak tests, and flush/gas containers
Monitor newly installed devices
Process work orders, job cards, and installation reports
Order and maintain equipment and parts inventory
Perform technical and warranty repairs on shipping containers
