Rovensa Next manufactures and markets biocontrol solutions in the Agricultural sector. An excellent career growth opportunity exists for a Plant Pathology Researcher to be appointed as an R&D Specialist. The incumbent will conduct research focused on the development of biocontrol solutions, design and execute trials for evaluation, and conduct screening of novel biocontrol solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Protocol design for efficacy testing of biocontrol solutions
- Scheduling of trial timelines for efficient execution
- Development of methodologies for efficacy screening of biocontrol solutions
- Practice and develop testing techniques for novel experiments
- Execution of trials – laboratory (in-vitro) and pot trials
- Liaise with Industry, Academia, and Industry organisations
- Attend workshops or collaboration projects with Universities and Industry organisations
- Provide training and technical support to Development and Marketing teams
Requirements:
- MSc in Plant Pathology
- 2-3 years’ experience in the agricultural sector with relevant focus in plant disease management
- Experience with soil-borne diseases and a background in IPM would be an advantage
- Good computer skills in MS Office (knowledge of statistical packages will strengthen the application)
- Strong organisational skills
- Attention to detail
- Innovative mindset
- Code B Driver´s License
A market-related remuneration package will be negotiated based on experience.
