Pipe Fitter

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Engineering field is currently looking for a Pipe Fitter to be based in Stellenbosch. Our client is a major player in water filtrations plans & pipe fitting with water Treatment Systems for Municipal water, Borehole Water, Hospitals, Wineries and the Hospitality Industry.

POSITION INFO:
Position: Pipe Fitter

Location: Stellenbosch (Must be able to commute to and from)

Job Type: Permanent

Minimum Qualifying Criteria:

• Matric
• National Certificate: Mechanical Engineering: Pipe-Fitting or related qualification
• 2-3 years experience with Water filtrations plans & pipe fitting.
• Valid Driver’s License
• Open to travel
• Basic computer experience (MS Office Suite)
• English and Afrikaans (Preferred)

• Client communication and site inspections.
• Servicing of our Water filtrations plants, i.e. knowledge of membranes, bag filters, pumps and motors.
• Chemical handling
• Plumbing experience
• Perform all diagnostics and analysis to troubleshoot and repair equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
• Install, upgrade, and maintain water purification equipment.
• Maintenance of plants on site
• Basic electrical knowledge, Fault finding and repairs on site.
• Complete the job task checklist in an accurate and timely manner.
• Assist other employees with delivery and installation of products/equipment. Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
• Communicate in a positive manner with co-workers and customers to maintain positive public relations for the company.
