SUMMARY:
The People Effectiveness and Total Rewards Partner plays a key role in managing and advancing the company’s rewards strategy, with a strong emphasis on analysing and reporting rewards data to guide decision-making. This position focuses significantly on job architecture, organizational design, and implementing retention strategies to maintain top talent, ensuring these elements are supported by data-driven insights in a multinational fintech setting. The role reports directly to the Head: Organisational Effectiveness and Total Reward.
As a People Effectiveness and Total Rewards Partner, you will oversee the management of total rewards programs, including developing reward frameworks aligned with job architecture and executing retention strategies based on rewards. A major aspect of your role will involve analysing and reporting on rewards data to generate actionable insights, aligning compensation and benefits with business objectives across multiple countries. Your expertise in data analytics will be vital for shaping effective and equitable rewards programs.
Internally, you will liaise with HCBPs, HR Management, and business representatives, while externally interacting with service providers.

Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Conduct in-depth analysis and reporting of rewards data to inform strategic decisions and provide insights on program effectiveness and market competitiveness.
- Checks data input before submission,
- Checks comparative analysis and communicates findings to business units and
- Assists with the Development of policies or processes addressing shortcomings in the remuneration framework.
Job Architecture and Organizational Design - Manage the rewards aspect of job architecture and organizational design, ensuring alignment between job roles, responsibilities, and compensation.
Retention Strategy Development - Create and implement retention strategies using rewards, focusing on retaining key talent and reducing turnover.
- Answers queries on the relevant STI, LTI and BEE schemes as well as all benefit policies.
Tactical Alignment of Rewards - Align total rewards programs with organizational goals, ensuring they support business objectives and workforce needs.
- Develops solutions to identified problems customising solutions to needs and different business units. Compiles an increase mandate for approval by Executives and manage the increase process for Specific business units or departments.
- Conducts Job evaluations for all levels
Global Rewards Management - Coordinate with international HR teams for the effective global implementation of rewards strategies.
- Research and benchmark best practice in employee benefits prepare recommendations for approval by Executive Committee
Stakeholder Communication - Effectively communicate complex data insights and rewards strategy implications to stakeholders at all levels.
- Conducts training to various HC, Employees and Line managers.
Experience: - Experience in total rewards, with a strong emphasis on data analytics and job architecture (3-5 years of experience)
- Advanced skills in data analysis and reporting.
- Compensation and Benefits Management: Knowledge of designing and managing various compensation and benefits programs, including base pay, incentives, equity programs, and health and wellness benefits.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Expertise in analysing complex datasets to generate insights, create reports, and support decision-making processes. Proficient use of data analysis tools and software.
- HR Information Systems (HRIS): Skilled in using HRIS platforms for data management, reporting, and insights. Familiarity with leading HRIS systems is essential.
- Market Benchmarking and Job Evaluation Techniques: Ability to conduct market analysis and apply job evaluation techniques to ensure competitive and equitable compensation structures.
- Communication and Presentation Skills: Strong ability in presenting complex data and concepts in a clear and understandable manner to various stakeholders.
- Project Management: Skills in managing projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing phases.
- Financial Acumen: Understanding of budgeting, financial planning, and cost analysis related to total rewards programs.
- Legal Compliance and Governance: Understanding of legal compliance in compensation and benefits, including knowledge of international and local labour laws.
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- GRP Certification (Essential)
