POSITION INFO:
We're looking for an incumbent who knows how to balance the books and bring a spark to the team. If precision, passion, and positive energy power your career, you belong here.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

Administer employee salaries for a headcount of +/- 400
Review month-end payroll journals
Maintain employee data
Administer statutory and benefits monthly payments and reporting
Process monthly SARS payments on eFiling
Process mid-year tax reconciliations and submit to SARS
Monthly EMP 201 reconciliations
Reconcile and submit EMP501 at the tax year-end
Distribute IRP5’s at the tax year-end
Assist with internal and external annual audits
Assist HR with ad hoc salary data comparisons
Prepare annual increase & bonus sheets
Train & support staff on systems
Support staff with payroll tax and general queries

Education Requirements:

Completed Matric (Grade 12)
Tertiary qualification in accounting or payroll preferred

Job Requirements and Skills:

5 to 6 years' experience in a Senior Payroll Administrator position is essential
Sage 300 People working knowledge is ESSENTIAL
Strong understanding of statutory payments and returns
Payroll accounting and reporting to finance experience is essential
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Deadline driven
Ability to work in a high pressure, fast-paced environment
Team player
