POSITION INFO:

Must have the ability to interact with management and CFO.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Full payroll function on the Pastel system
• Macro importing and capturing of weekly and monthly timesheets into the Pastel payroll
• Reconciling and balancing weekly and monthly payments and journals
• Prepare and distribute wage data reports as requested by divisions
• Print and distribute weekly payslips
• 440 - 550 staff members
• Assistance to the payroll administrator on consolidated monthly/ annual reports and audits
• Importing of weekly/monthly payrolls into FNB Online Business System
• Assists with the preparation of wages annual budgets and increase schedules
• Managing all the wage employees’ files
• Assistance with the preparation and distribution of IRP5’s
• Issuing of UI19 and DOL documents
• Completing and submission of provident claim files (MIBFA)
• Preparing the monthly attendance report
• Assistance to the HR department as required

Requirements:

• Experience with the Pastel Premier payroll system
• Knowledge of basic wage payroll calculation (earnings, deductions, leave, etc.)
• Knowledge of BCEA rules
• Knowledge of MIBFA and NBCCI agreements
• Proficiency in Pastel MS Office (Word, Excel), Outlook
• Ability to maintain the highest standard of confidentiality and honesty
• Excellent communication skills, read and write in English
• The ability to interact with management and the CFO
• Time management, working under pressure, and meeting deadlines
• Basic financial skills

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12
• 3-5 years of Pastel VIP Premier payroll experience Further tertiary education in the field will be advantageous.
