Pack Line Manager

Stellenpak, a well-established fruit packing and cooling enterprise in Paarl, serving a niche market segment in the fruit industry, is looking for an experienced Pack Line Manager to join the team.

The incumbent will be responsible for the effective management of the pack line according to daily packing programmes, ensuring that daily production targets are achieved and quality standards are adhered to.

Responsibilities:

• Management of pack line (productivity, quality control and personnel)
• Ensure pack line is set up according to daily packing programme and set specifications
• Ensure fruit quality is up to standard as per packing programme
• Maintain productivity on pack-line and adhere to daily production targets
• Manage pack line personnel (training, production, performance, discipline)
• Allocate sufficient personnel to pack-line in accordance with packaging plan whilst limiting labour costs
• Ensure pack line compliance with BRC/HACCP regulations

Requirements:

• Relevant qualification in agriculture will be beneficial
• At least 5 years’ experience in fruit pack line management
• Proven experience in personnel management (training, performance and discipline)
• Knowledge of quality standards and quality management in the fruit industry
• Knowledge of fruit packaging software will strengthen the application
• Experience in Compac camera sorting and grading technology will be beneficial
• Excellent interpersonal skills
