SUMMARY:
Client is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Sample and Production Tracker to manage both the lifecycle of product samples and the entire production process. This role requires overseeing the tracking of approval samples process, and tracking production from planning to final delivery, all while
maintaining quality and production timelines
SALARY: R R 10 – 12 K
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Supply Chain Management, Product Development, or a related field (preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in sample tracking, production management, or a similar role in the retail or fashion industry (advise on experience)
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Proficiency in production tracking and sample management software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- Time Management: Ability to juggle multiple tasks efficiently and ensure all deadlines are met
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous in reviewing sample timelines and tracking production to ensure on time delivery
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and quality assurance
- Oversee the tracking of pre-production samples, ensuring alignment with time lines and timely delivery for review and approval
- Monitor and track all stages of production, from initial planning through final delivery, ensuring adherence to timeline and quality standards
- Serve as the primary liaison between QA and suppliers, and internal teams, communicating production updates, and any issues that arise
- Maintain and manage detailed timelines for both sample development and full production, ensuring that all processes stay on schedule
- Keep accurate and up-to-date buy plans of all sample status, production schedules, order sheets, and supplier communications
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the availability of materials, timely delivery of Bulk Production samples, and smooth production processes
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks or delays in both sample development and production processes, coordinating with relevant teams to implement solutions
- Organize the shipment and receipt of samples and finished products, ensuring they are delivered to the appropriate teams or clients on time
- Generate regular reports on sample status, production progress, potential delays, and any issues affecting delivery schedules
