PLANT BREEDER - PAPAYA

SUMMARY:
Moamba Area – Mozambique: We are looking for a candidate for our papaya breeding program.
 
The ideal candidate must be willing to travel frequently to Mozambique, with the possibility of international travel in the future.
A strong background in genetics is essential.
The position requires traveling from a base in the northern parts of the country to Mozambique to visit the breeding blocks on a frequency of at least twice a month.

POSITION INFO:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Degree / qualification in Horticulture, science, plant genetics or related discipline
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar role
• Experience in evaluating fruit trees and fruit
• A strong background in genetics is essential
• Ability to problem solve and conduct cause analysis
• Computer literate
• Strong record keeping skills
• Must be willing to travel
• Valid driver’s license
• Valid passport
