PHP Software Engineering Team Lead – Pretoria/ Hybrid – R1.2 PA

POSITION INFO:

We are currently seeking a Software Engineering Team Lead (PHP) to join the team. This role involves leading a team of software engineers, overseeing the development and maintenance of PHP-based applications, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Requirements:

Strong proficiency in PHP and experience with frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter
Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL
Experience with RESTful APIs, MySQL/MariaDB, and version control systems like Git
Familiarity with cloud-based platforms and deployment strategies is advantageous
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities:

flexibility to work both remotely and from the office.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and optimize web applications using PHP and related technologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable solutions.
Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications for improved performance and security.
Integrate third-party services, APIs, and databases as needed.
Ensure best coding practices, security standards, and documentation are followed.
Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation
