Signa Opportunity is recruiting unemployed youth for quality workplace experience through the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative.

About the YES Initiative

The President launched the initiative in 2018 and is a partnership with the government and labor department to collectively devise a national plan to build economic pathways for South Africa’s youth by creating workplace opportunities for South African youth over a period of 12 months.

About the role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Administration Intern to join our team. As an Office Administration Intern, you will assist our administrative team in providing administrative support to our office, ensuring the smooth operation of our daily activities. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in office administration, learn new skills, and build your professional network.

Responsibilities:

Provide administrative support to the office staff, including answering phones, responding to emails, and greeting visitors.
Assist with data entry, filing, and record-keeping tasks
Prepare and distribute meeting materials, including agendas, minutes, and presentations.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and databases.
Perform various administrative tasks, such as photocopying, scanning, and faxing.
Assist with special projects and events, as needed.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, clients, and vendors.
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by the office staff.

Requirements:

Matric
Currently enrolled in a diploma program in business administration, office administration, Tourism management, or Hospitality.
South African unemployed youth aged between 18 and 34.
Must not have taken part in the YES Programme before.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
