Job Title: Operations Manager

Location: South Africa - Gauteng

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to report directly to the CEO of a leading manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in managing warehouse and manufacturing operations, ensuring seamless operations across all facets of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the manufacturing facility and warehouse, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
• Manage and implement ISO standards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including maintaining a safe working environment.
• Ensure adherence to FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures for inventory and stock management.
• Handle logistics, stock takes, and ensure efficient distribution of products.
• Monitor security systems and work closely with security personnel to maintain facility safety.
• Coordinate and manage the stock control system, reviewing stock levels, reordering materials, and avoiding production delays.
• Collaborate with the CEO on strategic operational decisions, acting as a trusted right hand to ensure operational excellence.
• Implement and maintain environmental management procedures to meet company sustainability goals.
• Prepare and present regular operational reports to the CEO.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A relevant Degree in Operations Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5-7 years of experience in managing operations within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience with ISO standards, health and safety regulations, and logistics management.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and projects effectively.
• In-depth knowledge of warehouse management, stock control, and logistics systems.
• Ability to work closely with senior leadership, offering strategic insight and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of handling high-pressure situations.
