Operations Manager

SUMMARY:
Operations Manager vacancy has become available at, an iconic landmark hotel in  JHB.  This role is responsible for overseeing accommodation, food and beverage, reception, conference and banqueting as well as the spa. The role is key for maximizing guest satisfaction and for the strategic development of the property. This is a leadership role that requires people management skills, excellent attention to detail and ability to execute and follow through on projects.

Job Description

• Developing and implementing strategic operational plans.
• Ability to build strong relationships with General Managers, staff, vendors, and shareholders.
• Analytical with strong problem-solving, fiscal management, and budgeting skills.
• A strong understanding of P&L statements and the ability to react with impactful strategies.
• Experience maximizing room yield and Hotel revenue through innovative sales practices and yield management programs.
• Well versed with reservations and tour operator engagements.
• Proven experience in mentoring and developing a high-performing team.
• Experience with hospitality technology and Property Management Systems essential

Minimum Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in senior hospitality operations management
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of all aspects of  5*Hotel operations, including housekeeping, food and beverage service, guest services, and maintenance.
• Experience in developing and implementing strategic operational plans.
