Opportunity for Experienced Operations Engineer

POSITION INFO:
A leading provider of secure payment solutions that streamline payment processes for businesses across various industries. Their goal is to provide innovative, reliable, and efficient technology solutions, while ensuring exceptional customer service and operational excellence. As a specialist recruiter, I am working with them to find Operations Engineers for their dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

System Monitoring & Maintenance: Monitor the performance of all payment systems and technologies to ensure optimal functionality and uptime.
Incident Management: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues in a timely manner, minimizing disruption to services. Provide root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Automation & Optimization: Develop and implement automation tools and processes to improve operational efficiency, reduce manual interventions, and enhance overall system performance.
Infrastructure Management: Support the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, product, and customer support teams to identify areas of improvement and provide technical expertise for operational initiatives.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, incident reports, and system changes. Generate regular performance reports for management review.
Security & Compliance: Ensure that operational processes and systems comply with relevant security standards, industry regulations, and company policies.
Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development of best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Skills and Qualifications:

Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience in the FinTech space (Payments) is required.
Proficiency in system administration, AWS cloud platform, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, Grafana).
At least 3 years of experience in operations engineering, system administration, or related fields.
Understanding of security best practices and protocols, particularly related to payments and financial systems.
