Operational /General Manager

SUMMARY:
Are you a dynamic, hands-on leader with a passion for operational excellence? We are seeking an experienced Operational Manager / General Manager to oversee and drive performance across our Logistics, Production, and Maintenance departments in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership

• Full accountability for Production, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Logistics departments

• Drive day-to-day operations, ensuring interdepartmental coordination

• Lead and mentor departmental managers

ERP Systems & IT Integration

• Optimize ERP utilization across manufacturing, dispatch, and inventory

• Collaborate with IT for seamless ERP and finance integration

• Monitor system performance and drive ongoing improvements

Business Planning & Performance

• Contribute to business strategy and forecasting

• Track and report KPIs, ensuring goals are met or exceeded

• Develop business cases to support growth and efficiency

Budgeting & Cost Management

• Manage capital project budgets and plant upgrades

• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives

• Monitor utility consumption and control operational expenses

Compliance & Risk

• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (FSSC22000, OHSA)

• Lead change management with minimal operational disruption

Continuous Improvement

• Lead Lean Six Sigma initiatives to reduce waste and boost performance

• Monitor capacity utilization and OEE, driving improvements

Project Management & Stakeholder Engagement

• Oversee technical projects and build strong relationships with key stakeholders

Team Development

• Identify training needs and support team development

• Foster a culture of continuous learning and growth

Key Result Areas

• Ensure optimal plant performance and raw material management

• Analyze inefficiencies and implement performance-enhancing strategies

Reporting

• Provide monthly and quarterly reports to the Technical Director

• Maintain open communication with senior management

Requirements:

• Proven experience in an operational leadership role within a manufacturing environment

• Strong understanding of ERP systems and integration

• Background in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methods

• Excellent leadership, strategic planning, and team development skills

• Knowledge of compliance standards (FSSC22000, OHSA)

• Financial and project management acumen
