Our client in mining services is seeking to employ an Operational Excellence Engineer to join their team.
Flexible work location: Witbank or Johannesburg office.
Travel to sites - yes.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

BEng/BSc in Mining or Industrial Engineering
5 years experience in operational excellence in a mining or mining related services environment
3years management experience
3 - 5 years experience in implementing operational improvement into operations

Responsibilities:

To conduct Operational Excellence projects and continuously improve organizational processes, systems, and workflows, to optimize business performance and to enhance the company’s operational reputation amongst customers
Identify opportunities to improve field operations (including but not limited to field employees, raw material stock, site layout, infrastructure etc.) by conducting analysis and evaluation of field operations and costs, gathering data and insights, engaging and collaborating with field operators and leaders, evaluating, reviewing ROI, identifying opportunities, developing recommendations and reporting within deadline.
Implement field operations improvement projects by implementing best practice project practices, implementing project tracking and monitoring measures, managing implementation, measuring success/failures, resolving and optimizing as and when possible and required.
