Mechanical Technician

SUMMARY:
Collaborate with the Mechanical Engineering team to support production and development efforts, including new designs and improvements to existing designs, as well as documentation to ensure reliability in the production environment.

POSITION INFO:

Help the lead designer in creating and improving aviation communication equipment for mass production
Make and update 3D models and drawings for tools, fixtures, and painting templates, ensuring the drawings are correctly organized
Identify and fix problems that come up during production
Assist with testing new designs and reporting the results
Help with setting up test equipment and performing tests on new products
Build prototypes using quick manufacturing methods to test new designs

Skills & Experience:
Highly skilled in creating accurate technical drawings using sound CAD modeling practices
Strong attention to detail, both technically and administratively
Excellent administrative and time management abilities
Proficient in SolidWorks
Experience with SolidWorks PDM or a similar CAD data management system is preferred
Strong communication skills
Ability to collaborate with multiple departments to implement practical solutions
Demonstrated success in seeing designs through to manufacturing and assembly
Skilled in procuring parts or services to bring designs to life.
Capable of writing detailed reports

Qualification:
BTech in Mechanical Engineering with 3-8 years of experience, preferably in the aerospace industry, adhering to strict configuration standards.
