SUMMARY:
Job Purpose:
A Consulting   Engineering Company in Botswana, Gaborone is looking for a Mechanical / Structural and Electrical draughtsman for a 36-month contract, the position will be based on a Diamond mine ,150 km from Gaborone.

Position: Mechanical /Structural &Electrical Draughtsman

Qualifications:

• Matric/ N3
• National Diploma in Mechanical/Civil/Electrical Engineering or relevant draughtsman certifications.
• Professional registration as a PR Technician with ECSA will be an advantage.
• CAD software like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Revit

• 3- 5 Years plus experience as a mechanical /structural /electrical draughtsman the construction/ manufacturing industry.
• Preference will be given to experience in the mining industry.

• Developing detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings, designs and models for various engineering design and architectural drafting projects.
• Collaborating with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and specifications.
• Reviewing and interpreting technical drawings and specifications to produce accurate drafts.
• Modifying existing drawings and plans as needed to accommodate changes in design or scope.
• Ensuring designs and drawings comply with industry standards, regulations, and project requirements.
• Participating in project meetings to discuss design and drafting issues.
• Assisting in resolving design and technical issues during project development.
• Preparing layouts, detailed drawings and assembly diagrams for construction or manufacturing.
• Revising drawings and layouts to accommodate changes or modifications requested by the engineering team.
• Ensuring all designs are documented and meet the required standards and codes.
• Reviewing designs for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project specifications.
• Assisting in preparing documentation and reports related to project designs and materials.
• Preparing bills of materials and cost estimates based on drawings.
• Conducting site visits as needed to gather information and ensure design accuracy.
