SUMMARY:
A well-established company in based Durban, KZN is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Mechanical Engineer to join our team as a Plant Engineer.

This role is pivotal in ensuring their factory operates at peak efficiency while driving projects that enhance production quality and performance.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in the automotive or heavy equipment industry.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, maintenance practices, and process improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
• Strong leadership and project management abilities.
• Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

• Oversee the maintenance of all factory equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to enhance equipment longevity.
• Support production teams in identifying and resolving mechanical issues to improve operational efficiency.
• Lead projects aimed at improving production processes, efficiency, and product quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of engineering solutions into production workflows.
• Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and recommend actionable solutions.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all plant operations.
• Manage budgets and resources effectively for maintenance and engineering projects.
