Main Purpose of the Role

The Mechanical Engineer will support engineering projects within the mining and minerals processing industry by providing expert design and technical solutions. This role requires a strong foundation in mechanical engineering, project experience with leading EPCM companies, and a focus on delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

Design and Development:
- Develop and execute mechanical designs, specifications, and system layouts for mining and minerals processing projects.
- Conduct equipment selection, procurement, and installation planning.
Engineering Analysis:
- Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and analyses to validate designs and resolve technical challenges.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and safety requirements.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
- Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Documentation and Support:
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including designs, reports, and drawings.
- Support project commissioning, handover, and troubleshooting processes.

Experience:
- Proven mechanical engineering expertise in the mining and minerals processing sector.
- Track record of success working with reputable EPCM companies.
Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency in developing mechanical designs, conducting equipment selection, and planning installations.
- Skilled in performing engineering calculations, simulations, and technical analysis.
- Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
