SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong background in the aerospace and defense industry to join their innovative team. This role offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge defense technologies, designing and developing high-performance mechanical systems for mission-critical applications.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop mechanical components and systems for aerospace and defense applications.
Conduct engineering analysis, including structural, thermal, and vibration assessments.
Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings using industry-standard CAD software.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Electrical, Manufacturing, and Testing Engineers.
Ensure compliance with aerospace and defense industry regulations and standards.
Participate in design reviews and provide technical input throughout the product development lifecycle.
Optimize designs for manufacturability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

Requirements:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
5+ years’ experience in mechanical design within the aerospace and defense industry.
Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, or Creo).
Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and GD&T.
Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is advantageous.
Familiarity with military and aerospace standards.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-security environment.
