SUMMARY:
Diesel Mechanic Foreman required for our well-established, national Logistics Group to supervise the facilities and manage the fleet and maintenance thereof (heavy commercial vehicles) for the Frankfort (Free State) depot.
POSITION INFO:
Key Performance Areas:
Planning, scheduling and quality assurance of preventative maintenance.
- Schedule, manage and control repairs and handling of breakdowns.
- Execution of repairs to fleet.
- Servicing of vehicles.
- Inspection of vehicles.
- Inspection of lifting equipment.
- Manage and control stockholding of tyres, parts and consumables.
- Cost control and administration.
- Technical procurement.
- Technical supervision and administration.
- Sourcing and procuring of items for repairs and services.
- General assistance with assembly plant, driving tasks, general maintenance and any other functions to ensure continuation of operations / maintain the upkeep of the company.
- Health and safety.
- Health and safety compliance and care of tools.
- Management of Human Resources (subordinates).
Requirements: - Grade 12
- Qualified diesel mechanic.
- Heavy commercial vehicle working experience and license
- Foreman / Supervisory experience
- Fleet management and maintenance.
