My client is seeking a Material Planner  to join their company on a contract basis. Candidate must have expertise in shipping, imports, and SAP. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating material flow, managing imported components, and ensuring timely delivery to meet production demands. This role requires strong supply chain, logistics, and SAP (MM/PP) skills to optimize inventory levels and prevent production disruptions.

Duties include:

• Material Planning & Imports Management:
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate material requirements using SAP (MM, PP, or related modules).
• Monitor imported materials, ensuring on-time delivery and compliance with import regulations.
• Work closely with freight forwarders, customs agents, and suppliers to manage international shipments.
• Ensure accurate documentation for import clearances, including invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations.
• Implement MRP (Material Requirements Planning) strategies to align with production schedules.
• Track and manage shipping lead times, proactively adjusting material plans as needed.
• Conduct inventory reconciliations and ensure stock accuracy.
• Supplier & Logistics Coordination

Minimum Requirements:

• Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Trade, or a related field.
  3-5+ years in material planning, imports, or supply chain management in the automotive industry.
• Strong experience with SAP (MM, PP, or related modules)
