SUMMARY:

Signa Opportunity is recruiting unemployed youth for quality workplace experience through the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative.

About the YES Initiative

The President launched the initiative in 2018 and is a partnership with the government and labor department to collectively devise a national plan to build economic pathways for South Africa’s youth by creating workplace opportunities for South African youth over a period of 12 months.

Position: Marketing and Communications Intern

Stipend: R5300.00

POSITION INFO:

About the role

In this role, you will be responsible for researching. You will also help the Creative Partner/Social Media Content Manager to create and execute a content calendar. A deep interest in current social media trends is required to be successful in this role.

Responsibilities

Documenting and Filing
Develop New Business Opportunities
Compiling tender documents and database Registration.
Typing of documents and CVs for tendering preparation
Responding to RFQs and following up on them.
Sourcing suppliers/supplies in preparation of RFQs and tendering preparation
Ensure that company procedures are followed concerning quotes, processing orders, payments, and delivery of goods.
Assist with preparing proposals and researching marketing trends.
Conceptualizing content for cross-platform social media campaigns and strategies using our Twitter,
Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, Google Plus, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Updating and growing the company’s social networking platforms such as Facebook and Twitter.
Drive community engagement and effectively leverage our content.
Review user-generated comments and posts in a quick and timely manner
Respond to comments, when appropriate, to foster a positive community and add value to the user’s experience.
Updating the website.

Requirements

Matric.
National Diploma in Marketing/Communications/Public Relations.
The candidate will receive mentorship from our senior consultant.
South African unemployed youth aged between 18 and 34.
Must not have taken part in the YES Program before.
