Marketing Specialist - Social Media

Our National client requires a Social Media Marketer who has a passion for content creation, particularly for short-form videos and posts on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.

This role involves developing and executing social media marketing strategies in line with the company’s short-, medium- and long-term strategies and goals.

REQUIREMENTS

• Matric with relevant tertiary qualification - Advantageous
• Proven experience as a Social Media Marketer, specialising in Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
• Strong portfolio showcasing posts and short-form video content
• Proficiency with tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar
• Expertise in social media analytics tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, TikTok Analytics, etc.)
• Excellent understanding of platform-specific content trends and best practices
• Creativity, strong communication skills, and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual in both English and Afrikaans

• Content Strategy and Planning
• Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy tailored to Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
• Conduct audience research to identify trends, preferences, and behaviour's to optimise content performance
• Plan and maintain a content calendar, ensuring a consistent and on-brand posting schedule
• Create compelling posts, reels, and stories that resonate with target audiences
• Write captions, hashtags, and post copy optimised for each platform
• Film, edit, and produce high-quality short-form videos for reels and TikTok
• Platform Optimisation - stay up to date with platform trends, tools, and algorithm changes to maximise reach and engagement
• Use platform analytics to measure performance and optimise content strategies
• Community Engagement - Respond to comments, messages, and interactions promptly to foster community and brand loyalty
• Performance Analysis and Reporting
• Track and report on key performance metrics, including reach, engagement, follower growth, and conversions
• Use data insights to refine content and campaign strategies
• Work closely with the marketing team to align social media efforts with broader campaign goals
• Coordinate with product, sales, and customer support teams to amplify messaging.
