Marketing Assistant

SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a mid-career level Marketing Assistant in a classical marketing role at the regional office of a well-respected national FMCG company. This organisation is well-established and focused on creating strategic partnerships while offering comprehensive business management services to independent retailers and wholesalers in the food and beverage sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate, support, implement, and assist the General Manager and Executive Committee (EC) team with all marketing strategies and administrative functions of the business unit.
• Build and strengthen brand equity within the region.
• Develop and conceptualise engaging regional marketing campaigns tailored to diverse local audiences.
• Cultivate robust partnerships with business forums, suppliers, and local communities to foster collaboration and engagement.

• National Senior Certificate.
• Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business, Commerce or similar is highly advantageous. 
• Minimum of 4+ years of working experience in a dynamic environment and within cross-functional teams.
• Campaign Marketing experience is essential (from concept to implementation).
• Required background in internal and external communications.
• Proven experience in event planning and coordination, collaborating closely with partners, members, sponsors, and suppliers to ensure success and a solid return on investment.
• Ability to track marketing activities, events, activations, and sponsorships.
• Support the GM in analysing market research and data for future marketing strategies and campaigns.
• Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken forms.
• Strong copywriting and proofreading abilities.
• Knowledge of graphic design is advantageous, along with proficiency in marketing and design tools.
• Open to South African citizens with clear criminal and credit histories.
• A valid driver’s license is essential.
