Managing Director

SUMMARY:
Nonzēro Africa is seeking an experienced and dynamic Managing Director to lead our purpose-driven marketing agency. This role is pivotal in driving the strategic vision, operational excellence, and sustainable growth of the company.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the African market, a passion for socio-economic development, and a proven track record in leading high-performing teams.

POSITION INFO:
You will be in charge of directing the company’s operations to make sure it achieves its objectives effectively and efficiently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Strategic leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans that align with Nonzēro Africa’s mission to support SME development and drive impact across the continent.
• Operational management: Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources. Implement operational best practices that support business growth and improve client outcomes.
• Business development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities that align with the company's mission. Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry leaders.
• Financial oversight: Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Ensure the company's financial health and sustainability while driving profitability and long-term value creation.
• Team leadership: Inspire, lead, and mentor a diverse team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Ensure that the team has the resources and support needed to achieve their goals.
• Client relations: Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients while identifying new opportunities for growth. Ensure client satisfaction through the delivery of high-quality services and solutions.
• Brand management: Uphold and enhance the Nonzēro Africa brand, ensuring consistent messaging and positioning across all touchpoints. Lead initiatives that amplify the company’s impact and visibility in the market.

• Proven experience in a senior leadership role, ideally within the marketing, consulting, or technology sectors, with a focus on Africa.
• Strong understanding of the African business landscape, including challenges and opportunities specific to SME development and socio-economic growth.
• Demonstrated ability to drive strategic initiatives and manage complex projects from inception to completion.
• Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
• Financial acumen, with experience in managing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and social impact.
