Manager: Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) Wellington

SUMMARY:
The Manager: SHE is responsible for providing an integrated SHE Management service to ensure identification and management of SHE risks within the Company. To implement and manage the safety, health & environmental philosophy, processes and systems

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

• HIRA
• ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification
• Emergency Preparedness
• Compliance to SHE Management system
• Incident Management
• Communication and Awareness
• Legal (Ensure the site & its plants have all Permits, licenses, certificates, authorizations required to operate (“Licence to operate”).
• Health (Ensure an effective occupational & primary health service is rendered to the site)
• Environmental (Effective management of environmental aspects & impact of the site)
• Financial Management (Plan for CAPEX as required and manage project)
• People (Performance management of reportees & contractors)

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental or Safety Management (safety management preferred).
• ISO 14001 &ISO 45001 Implementation.
• SAMTRAC would be advantageous.
• At least 5-8 years’ relevant experience in the management of safety, health, quality and environmental management within a medium to large organization of which 3 years should have been in staff management, performance management and leadership.
• Knowledge of all relevant statutory acts and regulations
• Experience & knowledge of Explosives Regulations would be advantageous
