POSITION INFO:
Our client, a leading player in the FMCG sector, is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join their team based in Johannesburg West. As the Management Accountant you will be responsible for providing financial support to operations, specifically focusing on factory or plant-based environments. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, able to deliver accurate reporting, costing analysis, and forecasting to drive business decisions and support operational efficiency.

Duties:

• Oversee all costing processes within the manufacturing environment, ensuring accurate tracking of costs and identification of potential savings.
• Assist in the preparation and management of budgets, provide accurate forecasting, and conduct variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports, ensuring clarity in financial performance, operational metrics, and cost control.
• Collaborate with plant management to provide financial insights that drive cost-saving initiatives, improve operational efficiencies, and support key business decisions.

• Qualifications:
  • A BCom Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is essential.
  • CIMA qualification or similar professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CMA) would be highly advantageous.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a management accounting role, preferably within a factory or plant-based environment in the FMCG industry.
