Maintenance Technician (Machinery)

SUMMARY:
A market leader in the design, manufacture, and supply of laundry care products and accessories is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to assist with the general maintenance of the company's machinery. This position is based in La Mercy.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and diagnose equipment faults to ensure minimal downtime.
• Perform daily maintenance checks on all production machines, including:
• Hydraulic benders
• Spot welders
• Drill presses
• Eccentric presses
• Round and rectangular tube mills
• Routers
• Extrusion machines
• Injection moulders
• Powder coating plant

• Perform monthly maintenance as per the company’s maintenance plan.
• Servicing of compressor.
• Repairs and maintenance to all machines and tooling.
• Manage machine tooling inventory.
• General fabrication
• Ensure forklift and vehicles are maintained and licenced.
• Any other ad hock duties as prescribed by management

• Relevant qualification
• Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing/production environment.
• Experience working with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical diagrams and manuals.
• Welding and fabrication experience is an advantage.
• Familiarity with maintenance best practices and safety regulations.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
