Maintenance Technician

SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a Maintenance Technician responsible for performing multiple repair and maintenance tasks throughout the day, as allocated through the Helpdesk or Operations Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform all repairs and maintenance tasks, including painting, cleaning, waterproofing, irrigation, replacement of globes & tubes, minor plumbing work, door & lock repairs, and cleaning of gutters and full bores.
• Identify maintenance requirements while conducting inspections on site.
• Observe the entire property daily and report leaks, breakages, and non-functioning parts to the Operations Manager.
• Respond to complaints received from tenants and advise the Operations Manager.
• Complete checklists on a daily basis.

• Maintain a high level of service delivery to internal and external clients through effective communication.
• Ensure availability to the Property Management team and tenants.
• Maintain good relationships with all stakeholders, including property management and tenants.
• Communicate defects timeously to the Operations Manager.

• Successfully execute night and weekend duties as per the agreed schedule.
• Responsible for night and weekend duties as assigned by the General Manager and Operations Manager.

• Identify and manage business risks.
• Ensure compliance with relevant Acts and regulations.
• Control, manage, and govern processes and systems within the area of accountability to ensure compliance and minimize business risk.
• Implement audit recommendations and resolve audit findings timeously.
• Design, approve, implement, and maintain policies within the area of responsibility.

• Participate in training and development initiatives in line with personal development plans.
• Identify training and development needs and proactively select effective solutions to address development gaps.
• Develop and implement a personal development plan.

• Demonstrate the company values and habits in day-to-day operations.
