Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee and coordinate maintenance activities, ensuring all equipment, facilities, and systems operate efficiently. The ideal candidate must have strong leadership abilities, technical expertise, and hands-on experience in maintenance and repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision and leadership: Oversee and manage maintenance staff by handling scheduling, training, and performance evaluations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies, and assigning tasks to ensure timely completion.
- Preventative and Corrective Maintenance: Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize breakdowns, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues, and conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards or required repairs.
- Facility & Equipment Management: Ensure all equipment and machinery operate efficiently by coordinating repairs and replacements of faulty equipment while maintaining records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and equipment inventory.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations by training staff on the proper use of tools and safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Budgeting and Resource Management: Purchasing spare parts and materials, negotiate with vendors and contractors for outsourced repairs and services, and optimize resource usage to minimize costs without compromising quality.
- Reporting and Communication: Report maintenance issues and updates to management, document maintenance activities with reports on completed tasks, and communicate with other departments to ensure smooth facility operations.
Theoretical Knowledge:
- Experience in areas such as maintenance, operations, and project management is valuable.
- 2-5 years of experience in facilities management, including leadership or supervisory roles.
