This boutique hotel is surrounded by expansive gardens, ancient trees, and flowing waterfalls, providing an oasis of calm. Camps Bay Retreat is seeking a dynamic Maintenance Supervisor to join their team. As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be the key figure in ensuring that our facilities are maintained to the highest standards. Your role is critical in maintaining the functionality, safety, and aesthetics of the property, contributing to an exceptional guest experience and smooth operational flow. You will oversee all maintenance activities, manage a team of maintenance staff, and coordinate with other departments to address and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
What Is Required:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all maintenance activities, ensuring that the facility operates smoothly and efficiently. The primary purpose of this role is to manage the maintenance team, handle repair and upkeep tasks, and ensure that the property’s physical environment meets high standards of safety, functionality, and aesthetics.
The Maintenance Supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining guest satisfaction and operational efficiency by ensuring that all systems, equipment, and facilities are in optimal condition. By proactively addressing maintenance issues and leading a team of skilled technicians, the Maintenance Supervisor contributes to a seamless and enjoyable guest experience, while also supporting the property’s long-term operational success.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Valid Driver's license
- At least 2 years experience in maintenance department
- Tertiary Qualification in Maintenance Management not essential but preferred
- Project Management Qualification (preferred)
- OHAS Qualification (advantageous)
- Minimum of 2 -5 years’ experience in the same or similar position
- Project Management or Supervisory experience (essential)
- Previous experience in hospitality sector (advantageous)
- Demonstrated ability mentor personnel and manage supplier relationships
- Extensive technical, practical and leadership experience in the relevant field including experience in projects and maintenance.
