Job title: Maintenance Supervisor 
Division/Department: Maintenance 

Overall Responsibility: Conduct general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment. Manage and oversee the maintenance staff. 
 
 
Main responsibilities of Focus Area 
Maintenance-related responsibilities 

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department
• Evaluate systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed
• Assess building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules
• Develop maintenance procedures and schedules
• Ensure maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner
• Assists with budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects

• Organise and oversee the schedules and work of maintenance staff 
•  Instruct, guide and coach staff 

• Tertiary education, degree, or diploma, in Electrical and/or mechanical engineering advantageous 

• Fluent in English  

• Passed the relevant Trade Test  

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as Maintenance Supervisor or similar role, preferably in the Food or Feed industry is required  

• Experience/Certification with reliability centred maintenance preferred, (e.g., Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional (CMRP))  

• Familiar with electrical systems such as controls, automation, VFDs, PLCs  

• Familiar with mechanical systems such as welding, part fabrication, fluid transfer, pneumatics and plumbing is highly desired  

• Good knowledge of the safety requirements

• Computer literate 

• Written and verbal communication
