POSITION INFO:

Perform Maintenance Planning

1.1 Issue and manage daily plan of maintenance activities.

1.2 Provide reports and information from DMS where requested by operations personnel/contractors.

1.3 Manage the workflow from the initiation of work orders to matching through to work completion and the entering of close-out information.

1.4 Maintain the equipment database including the input of new entities and specification sheets, spares lists, entity changes and updates. Data input of new planned maintenance routines, standard jobs and procedures. Update the equipment run hours on DMS to ensure proper timing of maintenance actions.

1.5 Assist in the development of reporting from DMS.

1.6 Coordinate and monitor contractors and liaise with operations staff in performance of any remedial actions pertaining to vessels and equipment inspections.

1.7 Produce exception and breakdown work orders ensuring parts and materials are drawn from the stores, and coordinate contractors to commence work.

1.8 Run the generation of the preventative maintenance work schedule on DMS and generate the work orders for the coming period. 

Budget and Cost Control.

2.1 Assist with the development and monitoring of Engineering and Maintenance budgets.

2.2 Assist with identifying opportunities for cost savings. 

Document Control

3.1 Manage the Engineering and Maintenance Management System controlled documents, including reviews, updates and distribution of hard copies.

3.2 Produce and format documents as requested.

3.3 Manage the review and update of management system procedures and internal audit processes

3.4 Submit Time and Attendance Reports.

Asset Integrity 

4.1 Maintain an easily retrievable records filing system for equipment inspections and maintenance reports.

4.2 Collate and produce accurate, timely quality reports for key performance indicator monitoring.

Participate in RCA's (Root cause analysis) 

Manage Non-Compliance Reports and actions

Education

NQF 4 Level in Mathematics and Science,

Or NQF Level with at least three years of experience in Maintenance Planning,

Or Qualified Tradesman with experience in Maintenance Operations.

Experience

Min of three years' experience in Maintenance Planning and Scheduling in an Industrial or Manufacturing environment.

Proficiency in the use of CMMS and Maintenance planning tools.

Familiar with root cause analysis (RCA), non-compliance reporting and management of change processes.

Practical experience in co-ordinating procurement and inventory management for maintenance activities.
