Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Maintenance Assistant to support our facility's operations. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that all equipment and systems are maintained at optimal performance levels. This position involves assisting the maintenance team in performing repairs, conducting routine inspections, and promoting a safe and efficient working environment.

Requirements:

* Matric or Grade 12 / NQF 4 learning ability

* A relevant qualification is an added advantage

* 1-3 years of experience in a maintenance or facilities role.

Responsibilities:

* Assist in performing preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment and machinery.

* Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.

* Support the maintenance team in repairs and installations of various systems.

* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of supplies.

* Help maintain a clean and organized work environment.

* Collaborate with other departments to facilitate maintenance requests and ensure minimal disruption to operations.

* Perform minor repairs and tasks under the supervision of skilled maintenance staff
