We are seeking a Magazine Master to join a dynamic team in Kolomela, Northern Cape, ensuring the secure handling, storage, and delivery of explosives in line with legal and client requirements.

POSITION INFO:

We are seeking a Magazine Master to join a dynamic team in Kolomela, Northern Cape, ensuring the secure handling, storage, and delivery of explosives in line with legal and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Safeguard stock in the magazine, ensuring compliance with SHERQ, legal, and mine procedures.
• Receive, verify, and reconcile deliveries of explosives and blasting accessories.
• Conduct daily stock checks, maintaining accurate records in the Register Book.
• Prepare and deliver explosives to the blasting face safely and efficiently.
• Assist the blaster with blast block preparation and manage stock rotation using FIFO principles.

What We’re Looking For

• Grade 12 (Mathematics required) and Magazine Master certification (CIE essential).
• A Blasting Assistant Certificate and Competent A Certificate (MQA) are advantageous.
• At least 2 years of blasting assistant experience, with supervisory exposure.
• Proven experience in the transportation and storage of explosives.
• A valid driver’s licence for explosives vehicles and police clearance certificate.
