POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the operating of Fanuc, Siemens and Heidenhain controlled CNC machines.
- Working to fine tolerances (0,03mm) as per customers’ requirements
- Reading and interpreting of engineering drawings
- Take accurate measurements on Precision Measuring instruments and measure finished products according to customers drawings
- Adjusting of programs to suit material
- Guiding/Overseeing/teaching junior machinists and operators
Preferred experience and qualifications:
- Matric or NQF equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing and CNC Programming/Operations/Setting.
- CAD / CAM Software experience- Matercam
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Good interpersonal and communication abilities
- Competent using measuring equipment
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to plan work on multiple machines to keep spindles turning
