POSITION INFO:
Position Overview: The raw materials planner responsible for procurement, inventory management of raw materials required for production processes. This role ensures that the necessary materials are available at the right time in the right quantity and at the right cost to meet the production schedules and support the efficiency of the supply chain.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION : BCOM SUPPLY CHAINMANAGEMENT OR RELATED FIELD (ADVANTAGEOUS)
EXPERIENCE : TEXTILE RELATED MINIMUM 1 YEAR
SKILLS REQUIRED: excellent organizational skills, analytical skills, sync software, excellent communication skills, ability to work in a fast paced and high-pressure environment, problem solving and attention to detail.
KEY RESPONSILBILTIES
CUSTOMER COMMUNICATION
* Follow up on buy plan/orders according to lead times
* Ensure all communication to customer is done correctly and timeously
2.TECH PACK / JOBS
* Initiate Tech Packs with relevant Depts
* Creation of Job (BOM) on sync
3.PROCUREMENT
Fabric and packaging need to be procured in line with customer orders/buy plan to ensure we are always covered to meet deliveries as well as a % of additional.
And ensure this is ordered according to the customer’s model.
- 4. REPORTS
* Identify opportunities to streamline materials handling processes and improve efficiency
* Provide regular reports on inventory levels, materials shortages and planning accuracy
* reconciling designs for a season
*Seasonal stats
5.SHIPMENT TRACKING
* Following up ETD and ETAs from schedules provided from offshore suppliers as well as internal shipping dept.
* Communicate late fabrics to HOD and communicate to demand planners to ensure production aligns
