Logistics Operations Manager (expats, Mozambique)

SUMMARY:
My client is in search of an Operations Manager for their logistics division.

POSITION INFO:
Role's Purpose:
Ensure that the whole operations function is run smoothly in Mozambique.

Experience & Qualifications Criteria:

• Degree in Logistics, Management, Supply Chain or related.
• 5-7 years' experience in a similar role.
• Excellent communication and computer skills as well as strong leadership is required.

• Oversee day-to-day logistics operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
• Manage transportation routes, inventory control, and warehouse activities.
• Lead and supervise logistics teams, ensuring high performance and safety compliance.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and other departments to maintain smooth operations.
• Monitor performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and drive process enhancements.
• Manage budgets and control costs associated with logistics and transportation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve logistical challenges in real-time.
• Prepare and analyze reports on logistics performance and provide actionable insights for management.
