Our international client based in Maitland requires a Logistics Manager where you will coordinate with various departments, manage a team of Invoice & Export Clerks, Storemen and Picker & Packers to ensure products are delivered efficiently.
As the Logistics Manager you will maintain inventory records with your advanced Excel skills, optimise logistics processes to meet production and delivery targets.

REQUIREMENTS
- Matric, Diploma or bachelorâs degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years in a supervisory role within dispatch, logistics, or transportation, preferably in the manufacturing sector
- Proficiency in dispatch and logistics software
- Fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Must be able to work in both an office and warehouse setting
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Effective communication and collaboration skills across departments
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
DUTIES- Lead and supervise the team of 11 staff members from various departments
- Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and handle training and development initiatives
- Ensure that health and safety protocols are adhered to by the team during all dispatch activities
- Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of dispatch activities to ensure timely delivery of products
- Coordinate with production, warehouse, and sales teams to align dispatch schedules with customer demand and manufacturing output
- Continuously monitor KPIs related to dispatch operations (on-time delivery, cost per shipment, etc.) and implement corrective actions as needed
- Utilize dispatch software to track shipments and monitor the status of delivery vehicles.
- Collaborate with the customer service team to handle escalated issues related to delivery delays, damaged products, or incorrect orders
- Ensure that customer delivery specifications are met, including timelines and any special handling requirements
- Coordinate with the inventory management team to ensure sufficient stock levels are available for dispatch
- Address and resolve operational issues, such as vehicle breakdowns, route disruptions, and other logistics problems
- Investigate incidents such as late deliveries, product damage during transit, and implement solutions to prevent reoccurrence
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, dispatch activities, and driver logs
- Prepare reports on dispatch operations, including performance metrics and cost analysis, for senior management review
