My client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Lodge Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of their game reserve, ensuring an exceptional guest experience while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality and conservation. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on, passionate hospitality professional to lead a dedicated team in a unique and breathtaking safari setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the lodge, ensuring seamless guest experiences.
• Manage and train a team across multiple departments, including housekeeping, front-of-house, food and beverage, and guiding staff.
• Ensure outstanding customer service and personalized experiences for guests.
• Maintain high standards in lodge presentation, cleanliness, and maintenance.
• Oversee reservations, check-ins, and guest relations.
• Handle financial management, including budgeting, stock control, and reporting.
• Work closely with conservation and wildlife teams to integrate hospitality with nature experiences.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a lodge or hotel management role.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent guest relations and people management abilities.
• Experience with lodge administration, budgets, and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of hospitality systems (reservations, POS, stock management).
• A passion for conservation and sustainable tourism.
• Ability to live on-site in a remote location.
• Driver’s license essential.
