About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lodge Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a luxury lodge. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong background in hospitality, guest services, staff management, and lodge operations. The ideal candidate will ensure an exceptional guest experience while maintaining high service standards, operational efficiency, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Service Excellence
- Ensure world-class guest experiences, personalized service, and attention to detail
- Engage with guests, address concerns, and ensure their stay exceeds expectations
- Oversee check-ins, departures, and special requests
Operations & Staff Management
- Lead and manage all lodge departments, including front office, housekeeping, F&B, and guest services
- Train, mentor, and motivate staff to maintain high service standards
- Monitor daily lodge operations, ensuring efficiency and quality service delivery
Financial & Revenue Management
- Oversee lodge budgets, control costs, and ensure profitability
- Monitor bookings, occupancy rates, and pricing strategies to optimize revenue
- Implement cost-effective solutions without compromising guest satisfaction
Logistics & Maintenance
- Ensure proper maintenance of the lodge, including rooms, facilities, and guest areas
- Manage procurement and inventory of supplies, ensuring cost control
- Work closely with suppliers and service providers to maintain lodge standards
Marketing & Guest Relations
- Assist in promoting the lodge through digital marketing, partnerships, and events
- Foster relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, and corporate clients
- Enhance the lodge’s online presence and reputation through guest feedback management

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of lodge management experience, preferably in a luxury lodge or boutique hotel
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Background in hospitality management, tourism, or related fields
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
Financial and budget management experience
Knowledge of hospitality systems and property management software
Ability to work in remote locations and adapt to the lodge environment

Preferred Skills

Experience in eco-tourism and sustainable hospitality practices
Familiarity with wildlife conservation or safari lodge management
Knowledge of fine dining and wine pairing for guest experiences
