Lodge Management Couple

SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Lodge Management Couple to oversee the day-to-day operations of  their luxurious 5-star game lodge. The couple will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of guest service, operational efficiency, and overall lodge management. Key duties will include managing the lodge team, overseeing guest experience, maintaining facilities, ensuring exceptional service standards, and handling logistics of the lodge’s operations, including hospitality, housekeeping, and food & beverage. The ideal candidates should have strong leadership skills, be highly organized, and demonstrate a deep passion for wildlife and hospitality.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all lodge operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day running
• Lead and motivate lodge staff, creating a positive and efficient team environment
• Oversee guest relations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and personalized services
• Monitor and maintain high standards in housekeeping, food and beverage, and facilities
• Manage budgets, cost control, and inventory
• Handle administrative tasks, including staff schedules, training, and performance reviews
• Coordinate with maintenance and security teams to ensure the lodge is well-maintained and secure
• Promote and uphold the lodge’s brand and values
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Assist with wildlife and guest activities, offering knowledgeable and engaging safari experiences

• At least 5 years of experience in hospitality management, within a 5-star game lodge or safari lodge environment
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven experience in managing operations, budgeting, and financial reporting
• Knowledge of guest relations and service excellence
• Ability to manage a team effectively in a fast-paced environment
• A passion for wildlife and the outdoors
• Fluent in English (additional languages are an advantage)
• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and public holidays
• Valid driver’s license (4x4 driving experience is beneficial)
• A strong work ethic and the ability to adapt to changing needs and challenges
