POSITION INFO:
The Leisure Agent is responsible for handling reservations, inquiries and cancellations in an attentive, courteous and efficient manner, and quoting available rates to maximize room revenue according to hotel standards. This position must also be able to answer questions and provide information about hotel resources.
Requirements:
- Matric
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in similar position.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a sales position.
- License and own transport.
- Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
- Excellent phone skills needed.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.
- Strong computer skills necessary.
- Candidate must have attention to detail, be able to multi-task, must have experience handling customer service issues and be a team player
Duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Have knowledge of the entire reservation procedure.
- Responsible for all reservations.
- Respond to lead enquires with the purpose of converting them to reservations.
- Monthly target of R500,000 confirmed bookings on leisure.
- Make a minimum of 150 outbound calls per day.
- Make 2-3 reservations per day.
- No Answers: Follow up via email and Whatsapp messages at least three times before marking lead as “lost”.
- Follow up with clients that have in the past made enquires to see if you can convert them to reservations.
- Provide travel information to clients including prices.
- Handle customer complaints.
- Counselling clients on terms and conditions on making reservations.
- Send out confirmation notices to clients.
- Review reservations booked daily.
- Review arrival report daily.
