SUMMARY:
Our client is a respected family law firm dedicated to supporting clients through many life challenging moments. Well-established national company who are extending their services to Cape Town. We require a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Professional Legal Secretary to join their office in Cape Town CBD.

This should be someone who can work independently, and closely with attorneys and clients.

POSITION INFO:
REQUIREMENTS

Paralegal certification, degree in paralegal studies or related qualification
Minimum eight years’ work experience
Excellent computer proficiency, legal research and investigative skills
Strong understanding of legal language and principles, research methods, court pleadings and processes, and other related matters
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to meet deadlines
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
Independent worker who can exercise discretion and good judgment
Excellent organization skill, attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills

DUTIES

Draft legal agreements, assist with execution of agreements.
Maintain a database of company legal documentations and other legal activities
Provide support for the legal team
Support and perform research on legal topics
Assist general counsel on corporate governance matters
Assist in legal projects to improve efficiency and transparency within the department and to internal clients
Assists with special projects as assigned

Salary: R negotiable dependent on experience
