Location: Victory Park Johannesburg

Employment Type: Half Day – onsite

Salary: 15k to 18k per annum (salary dependent on specific qualifications and specific experience)

Role Overview:

Our client is looking for a Legal Administrator who will play a crucial role in providing administrative support to the Office, ensuring the efficient management of legal documentation, compliance, and correspondence. This position requires a detail-oriented, organised and logical individual who is able to learn quickly with excellent communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

Client Engagement

• Serve as the point of contact for clients, and external stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively with various parties regarding case progress and requirements.
• Address client queries and route them to appropriate personnel.
• Setting up of appointments with client
• Sending documents which need signature and further particulars

Administrative Support

• Prepare, format, and file legal documents, including all correspondence.
• Document management.
• Handle requisitioning and processing of legal and administrative expenses.
• Maintain and organise legal files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Conduct record-keeping in line with legal and company policies.
• Handle document retrieval and respond to legal queries promptly.
• Capturing transactions on systems (Lexis Convey, Lexis Deceased Estates)
• Assist in preparing legal documentation ie: letters, liquidation and distribution accounts, etc

Non negotiable sssentials for the role

• Matric certificate (required).
• Tertiary Education (preferred)
• Experience: Min 10 years’ experience in an administrative role, preferably within a legal environment.

Key Competencies:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English First language essential
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite essential
• Proficiency in a legal management software e.g LexisConvey highly preferable
• We are looking for a quick learner and someone who is proactive
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information responsibly.
• Working under pressure;
