CORE PURPOSE OF JOB

- To teach School Leadership at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- To supervise post graduate students in the field of School Leadership and Education.
- To publish and lead research in the field of School Leadership and Education.
- To participate in Community Engagement projects.
- To engage in the assessment of School-Based Learning and Teaching.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
|
- Facilitate learning, teaching, and assessment processes in the Faculty.
- Engage in scholarly work with an increased focus on the Africanisation and Decolonization of School Leadership and Leadership theories.
- Lead research within the Faculty, in the field of School Leadership within the context of Education.
- Engage in postgraduate supervision in the field of School Leadership within the context of Education.
- Participate in and contribute to Community Engagement in the Faculty/Institution.
- Participate in Faculty Administration.

- Ability to facilitate learning, teaching and assessment processes in the field of School Leadership in the Faculty.
- Facilitate the teaching of School Leadership at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- A sound knowledge of assessment strategies within the digital space as it relates to the field of School Leadership and Education.
- Ability to teach School Leadership to a diverse group of students.
- Ability to assess undergraduate students for School Based Learning.
- Ability to conduct scholarly work with an increased focus on Africanization and Decolonization of School Leadership within the Education context.
- Supervision of postgraduate students to completion.
- Ability to work and effectively engage in interdisciplinary discourse.
- Facilitate and engage in curriculum development initiatives at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

REQUIREMENTS
|
|
- A relevant PhD or Masters degree in Education Leadership or equivalent.
- Experience (1-5 years) in the teaching of School Leadership at a University level.
- Sound disciplinary and content knowledge in School Leadership and Education.
- A proven record of:
- Experience in supervising M&D students to completion.
- Research productivity in and around the field of Education and School Leadership.
