The Landscape Foreman is responsible for overseeing and managing landscaping projects, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest standards. This role involves supervising a team, coordinating work activities, and maintaining quality control on-site while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities Project & Site Management
- Oversee daily landscaping operations and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Supervise and coordinate a team of landscapers, assigning tasks and monitoring progress.
- Read and interpret landscape plans, designs, and specifications to ensure correct implementation.
- Ensure proper use of equipment, tools, and materials.
- Conduct quality control checks and maintain high landscaping standards.
Team Supervision & Leadership
- Train and mentor landscaping staff, ensuring proper work techniques and safety protocols.
- Monitor team performance and address any issues to maintain
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in landscaping or horticulture, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Knowledge of plants, irrigation systems, turf maintenance, and hardscaping techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret landscape plans.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license (Code B or higher preferred).
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and equipment handling.
- Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends if required.
