POSITION INFO:
Our client is seeking a Lab Technician to join their team, based in Cookhouse.
Successful candidate will conduct microbiological and analytical tests on raw materials and finished products manufactured, ensuring results are communicated and correct.
Minimum Requirements:-
- Matric
- Diploma in Food Science
- Minimum 1 year's experience in Dairy environment
- Proficiency in MS Office and other computer programmes
- Ability to cope in a demanding work environment
Duties to include (amongst others):-
- Product testing - conduct micro and analytical testing on milk, cheese, water and pH products using approved laboratory programme
- Sampling of green and ripe cheese
- Submit all completed test records to Lab Manager for verification
- Communicate any deviations to the Lab Manager and assist in root cause analysis
- Monthly stock takes
